It's a PUG LIFE for me!

Many of you may wonder to yourself--what the heck is her obsession with pugs? You may even think they are the strangest looking dogs--these were all thoughts that I had UNTIL I owned a pug. I got Henry James [Prince Henry James I] 5 years ago. My ex boyfriend and I decided that we wanted a dog--and our compramise was a pug. I had NO IDEA this this animal would change my life or that I could love anything as much as I do. Needless to say-we are no longer together and after sharing Henry for over a year-I won the custody battle on this one!

Through the years, Henry James has been there for me through the tears, the laughs, river trips, and the ragin' good times! Some might refer to Pugs as “needy”, but a better description would probably be “childlike”. They want what they want when they want it!--and Henry is absolutely NO exception <3

It's no lie when it says that a dog is a man woman's best friend! 

PUG FUN FACTS:

<3 Pugs are an ancient Asian breed that once lived as pets in Buddhist monasteries in Tibet and were considered royalty themselves; they are, in fact, one of the oldest breeds dating back to 400 B.C.

In the 16th century, Pugs were the traditional pet of European royalty and can be seen in many old world paintings.


In the 1500’s, a Pug saved the life of William, Prince of Orange by giving the alarm that the Spanish were approaching.


In the 1700’s, Napoleons wife Josephine had her little Pug, Fortune, smuggle notes under his collar to Napoleon while she was imprisoned in Les Carmes.


In 1860, British soldiers brought Pugs as well as Pekingese dogs from the Imperial palace in China.


In 1886, the black Pug was first seen in England after being imported from China.


The American Kennel Club recognized the Pug in 1885
